How funded hours work here
Government funded childcare is granted as an annual number of hours, not a weekly one. The 30 hours entitlement is 1,140 hours a year and the 15 hours entitlement is 570 hours a year, both normally quoted across 38 school weeks.
Lily's is open 50 weeks a year, so we stretch your entitlement evenly across all of them. That means 30 funded hours becomes 22.8 hours a week and 15 funded hours becomes 11.4 hours a week. You receive exactly the same total hours; they are simply spread through the year, including school holidays, which keeps your monthly payment identical every month.
Any hours your child attends above the funded entitlement are charged at our published private rate. Funded children attend a minimum of 3 full days a week. Eligibility for funded hours is decided by the government, not by us. You can check what you qualify for at childcarechoices.gov.uk.
Option A: hours only
You pay only for the hours above your funded entitlement. Meals are chosen and charged separately, and you supply nappies and wipes.
